Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior Data Management Specialist to plan, convert, and migrate data on an SAP project.
Background :
The supply chain project is integrating SAP IBP into their environment which is a cloud-based solution. The organization's data currently resides on-prem as part of the legacy DRP application which is reaching its end of life.
The organization requires a Senior Data Management Specialist to extract, convert, and migrate data into the new IBP solution.
Tasks May Include :
- Perform ETL, data migration plan / mapping, data remediation , and data conversions from DRP (Distribution Resource Planning) to IBP (Integrated Business Planning) .
- Perform SAP ECC and S / 4HANA master data table and field (including check table values and custom versus standard field) to legacy data fields for DRP;
- Assess and provide report that to articulates, describes, and traces SAP table and field (both custom and standard) dependencies between modules, and how this would impact the sequencing of data migration;
- Create detailed Conversion Functional Specification (covering requirements, table and field mapping, check tables, conversion rules, and unit testing criteria) and assist ABAP Developer to prepare associated Technical Specifications;
- Support preparation of Business Process Procedures (BPP) and training content that will be used for creation and maintenance of master data;
- Support ABAP Developer in creation of conversion programs (ABAP, LSMW, etc.), providing sample test data, support unit testing and troubleshooting defects, execute data cutover for Quality Assurance and Production systems;
- Prepare detailed data migration plan (identifying all dependencies) section of overall cut-over plan for SAP Quality Assurance and Production systems;
- Provide data (both master and transactional) troubleshooting and remediation support through the data migration and cutover process;
- Provide assessment and develop plans on Hands-on configuration expertise and the use of SAP Information Steward, Data Services.
