Your Opportunity

An opportunity exists in the Kingston to Belleville, ON area , for a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on civic, industrial, healthcare, commercial and educational projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing technical mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical staff, developing and maintaining new and existing clients, coordinating skillsets with other offices and disciplines, and satisfying customer requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical engineers and technologists.
• Conduct peer reviews of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications within the mechanical team.
• Coordinate and be responsible for mechanical engineering drawings and specifications, Project Managing and / or working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare Technical Specifications and documents for bidding and construction.
• Design building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems, focusing on concept design, and working with the buildings mechanical team to develop full design packages.
• Prepare detailed engineering design calculations.
• Support specific sales, proposal, and project efforts.
• Determine the scope and fee for proposed engineering services.
• Nurture and maintain strong client relationships in and for execution of projects, and as appropriate participate in marketing / business development.
