Our valued public sector client requires a Junior Lab Support Engineer to conduct options analysis, manage storage requirements and firmware upgrades of scientific equipment.
Background :
Our valued public sector client is establishing a new scientific lab focused on advancing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research and development.
They are currently procuring a wide range of scientific equipment, both small and large, and require assistance with options analysis for the desired equipment, detailing schedules, as well as proper storage and maintenance within the lab.
Tasks :
- Coordinate with vendors to determine calibration frequency, oversee calibration procedures, and establish a comprehensive scheduling system for maintenance activities .
- Manage and execute firmware updates for scientific equipment and systems as needed, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
- Conduct a comprehensive options analysis on both large and small auxiliary lab equipment and present the findings clearly to assist the client in making an informed decision.
- Collaborate with equipment vendor representatives to gather precise specifications for installing equipment, ensuring accurate communication of requirements to your manager for proper storage compliance.
