Job description

My client’s Finance team has an immediate opening for an Accounting Technician!

Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor, this role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including the processing of invoices, updating pricing within the ERP system, and managing rebate and commission payments.

This position REQUIRES candidates to work in alignment with EST hours.

Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM EST

Which is : 11 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM PST

This role requires expertise in pricing, invoicing, rebate / commission management, and month-end reporting, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies. A proactive and detail-oriented individual will thrive in this dynamic position.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of business processes to ensure accurate and timely updates to pricing for seamless invoicing.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of pricing changes and billing activities.
  • Address and resolve inquiries related to invoicing and discrepancies in pricing.
  • Oversee rebate and commission programs, including setup, accrual reconciliation, and payment processing within the ERP system.
  • Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and financial controls.
  • Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a high volume of tasks and competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Sharepoint is a huge asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
