We are seeking experienced and dedicated low-voltage technicians to join our team.
Senior Technician:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain low voltage systems, including Structured Cabling, Data Networks, Fiber Optics, Access Control, Intrusion Systems, CCTV, Audio Visual, and DAS systems.
- Perform conduit installation, pre-wiring, device installation, termination, testing, and labelling.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently in the field.
- Complete daily logs, service documentation, and time tracking accurately.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
- Adhere to company safety policies, WCB requirements, and Canadian electrical/low voltage codes.
- Willingness to travel out of town as required (travel allowance provided).
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant industry certifications are considered an asset.
- 25 years of experience in the low voltage industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with structured cabling and security systems installations.
- Experience with testing, certification, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems.
- BC Security Worker License (or ability to obtain).
- Manufacturer certifications and/or Low Energy (LO) FSR are considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of Canadian codes, industry standards, and best practices.
- Proficient computer skills: network configuration and basic programming experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
