Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) – Edmonton South is looking for experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our brokerage for commercial lines. This position is a commission-based only opportunity that includes commission on both new business and renewal.

The Insurance Broker is responsible for finding their own leads through their own individual network of Centres of Influence as well as through various marketing strategies to achieve personal sales targets. Compensation :

Commission-based only opportunity. This position includes commission on both new business and renewals. It can potentially translate into the following earning range :

1st year - $45,000 to $65,000

2nd year - $75,000 to $90,000

3rd year - $85,000 to $125,000+

Responsibilities :

Deliver exceptional sales experience from the first point of contact

Generate leads through an individual network of Centres of Influence and marketing strategies

Actively pursue warm leads and referrals by following-up and implementing sales tactics to ensure closure of sale

Manage leads and provide quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner

Correctly assess risk and advise clients of insurance coverages tailored to clients’ needs

Identify cross-sell opportunities to assist clients with all their insurance needs

Prioritize building a quality book of business and maintain good retention ratios

Adhere to underwriting criteria set out by broker partners

Attend Commercial Lines training courses as required

Qualifications :

General Insurance Level 1 license from the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC)

2+ years of experience in a sales role

Knowledge of Commercial Lines Insurance on a proficient level is considered an asset

Experience with insurance software (broker portals, customer management systems, etc) is considered an asset

Fluency in a foreign language is an asset

Personal Lines experience

Required education :

High-school diploma or equivalent

Job Types : Full-time, Commission

Additional pay : Commission Pay
