The Opportunity

Shape Something Different - Join our growing team as a JUNIOR Fire Alarm Designer and contribute to major infrastructure projects across Canada. In this role, you'll assist with engineering drawings and specifications for fire protection alarm systems, while supporting building and fire code compliance. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver safe, innovative solutions that protect communities.

Your Impact

• Assist with the design of automatic fire alarm systems for diverse infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support building and fire code analysis to ensure compliance with NFPA, FM Global, and local standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, external vendors, and engineers to implement design modifications.
• Communicate design concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor of Engineering or Engineering Technology diploma in a related discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in fire protection and life safety design.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with hydraulic calculation software is an asset.
• Understanding of NFPA, FM Global, and Building/Fire Code standards.
• Eligible for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance (mandatory).

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $57,500 - $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 - $72,300
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $52,000 - $69,000
