Automation Machine Builder

Job Description: An automation machine builder assembles, commissions, and trouble shoots a variety of equipment including Special Machines, Secondary Equipment, Assembly Automation, Robotic Cells, in addition to other types of equipment.

Reporting to: Automation Machine Build Leader

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the execution of tasks as listed below to ensure our products meet or exceed quality standards.

• Strong mechanical / machine building aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerancing of components and machined parts
• Ability to communicate and follow direction
• Follow a machine from start to finish
• Other duties as required by the Machine Build Supervisor, General Manager or Select Tool Management
• General machinist capabilities (Bridgeport, Grinder, surface, ID/OD, Lathe, and a wide variety of hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.)

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Driver’s license and Canadian Passport
• Ability to travel to and within Canada, USA and Mexico
• Proper tools for Assembly and Measurement
• Understand basic measurement fundamentals
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems

Education:

• Minimum High School diploma
• Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Motivated to complete an apprenticeship after probationary period
