Sustainability Analyst

We are looking for a dedicated Sustainability Analyst to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in advancing sustainability initiatives within the real estate and property industry. This role involves analyzing data, supporting reporting programs, and contributing to impactful environmental strategies.

Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze energy, water, and waste data to support sustainability reporting initiatives.
• Calculate and validate historical data and submeter readings to ensure accurate submissions for emissions reporting.
• Conduct year-over-year checks and assist with emission factor calculations to maintain compliance with reporting standards.
• Facilitate the transition of data from existing systems to new software platforms, ensuring seamless integration.
• Assist in the completion of sustainability data files and other reporting requirements as needed.
• Provide support for ad-hoc sustainability projects and initiatives as they arise.
• Collaborate with corporate teams to advance environmental strategies and decarbonization efforts.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support organizational sustainability goals.
• Develop insights from data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and sustainability best practices.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sustainability, analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in working with utility data, including energy, water, and waste metrics.
• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems (EMS) or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and strategies.
• Advanced skills in Excel and experience with database management.
• Ability to build and sustain cooperative relationships in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and manage complex data.
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to mitigating climate change.
