To support its technological transformation and to steer informed data-driven decision-making across the organization, Intelcom is looking for a Data Engineer who will work with his teammates on developing a modern and scalable data platform based on cloud technologies.

Reporting to the Senior Data Engineer, your role will be to become one of the main players in the continuous improvement of the back-end platform, both from a technological and business point of view to best meet ouranalytical needs. You will collaborate on a daily basis with various stakeholders, both internal and external to the BI team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, ETL processes, and database management. This role involves designing and implementing scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring the availability and reliability of data for analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Data Engineer will cover :

Database Management :

Design, develop and maintaindatabases and data warehousesensuring optimal performance and reliability

Implement data modeling and database design best practices

Data Pipeline Development :

Design, develop and maintainscalable and efficient ETL processes

Implement data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from various sources

Data Quality and Governance :

Ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of data through data validation and cleansing processes

Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards

Collaboration :

Collaborate with business leaders, end-users anddata scientists to understand their data requirements

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective BI solutions

Data Analysis and Modeling : analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing actionable insights for business stakeholders

Performance Optimization : monitor and optimize the performance of BI systems, proactively addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies

Documentation :

Document BI processes, data models, data engineering processes, database structures and technical specifications

Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the relevant stakeholders

Security :

Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and encryption

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and standards

Technical skills and background

4+ years working in Business Intelligence development and data analysis

4+ years of experience in SQL, with a strong understanding of database management

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence etc.or equivalent experience

Proficient in programming languages such as Python (or any similar language) for data transformation and analysis

Experience with :

ETL processes and tools

Data warehousing methodologies

Familiarity with the following is a plus :

Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS…)

Snowflake

Apache Airflow

Power BI

Other skills

Team-player

Self-motivated and resourceful

Ability to speak with business people and translate their needs into technical requirements

Ability to explain a complex technical concept to a non-expert

Be able and comfortable evolving in fast-moving environment

Can operate under tight deadlines

Be a force for proposal

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically

Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both French and English
