Controller

Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is an established technology company looking to hire a Controller for their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant experience.

About the Position

• Oversee the full month-end close cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and related financial support prepared by the team.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense allocations, and intercompany accounting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, highlighting key variances and trends.
• Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and documentation supporting financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support automation and strengthen control documentation across the department.
• Work in collaboration with external auditors for year-end audits and tax work.
• Streamline internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
• Work closely with FP&A to compare results against forecasts and support planning activities.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.
