Senior Quality Management Systems Engineer

Base pay range : CA$105,000.00 / yr - CA$120,000.00 / yr

Job Summary
Lead the Quality Assurance function to ensure that all products, processes, and systems meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements and quality objectives. This role designs and supervises the implementation of the corporate Quality Management System (QMS), drives continuous improvement, leads problem‑solving initiatives, and collaborates with a team of quality engineers and specialists across multiple sites to achieve zero‑defect manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Compliance and Testing
- Assist and support the Test Technicians' daily transformer testing / inspections and monitoring activities
- Review test reports and guide Test Technicians as required
- Lead Test technicians on how to use the Transformer Test Equipment and analyze the test reports
- Lead on the Test Equipment footprint development and upgrade based on capacity / capability
- Key player in developing test plans / type tests and conducting the tests with the Engineering Team
- Liaise with Operations and provide support with the communication of quality control issues
- Meet regularly with all teams; participate in weekly Huddles, LOS, Financial reviews, and the monthly QMR
- Adhere to and enforce Cam Tran Safety policies and procedures
- Support NCR creation and the implementation of corrective actions
- Perform transformer failure teardowns and root cause analysis for in‑house failures / warranty returns
- Support and participate in Quality departmental initiatives as assigned by the Quality senior leaders
QMS Management
Maintain and support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer‑specific requirementsAssist in internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectivelyPrepare and update policies, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, FMEA, and control plansManage QMS document information and ensure the latest revisions, approvals, and an effective documented information processProduct & Process Quality
Support Engineering activities during new product launches & Engineering ChangesMonitor processes and measurement devices, calibration, etc., and provide data for process capabilityPartner with Operations / Production to ensure process controlsConduct process audits and shop floor quality controlsMaintain calibration records of measurement equipmentValidate first article / first off inspections (FAI) and sample approvalsTechnical Supports

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree required if you have experience working in a Transformer ExperienceElectrical Engineering Degree required if you have experience in Automotive or Aerospace ManufacturingMinimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment within Transformer, Automotive or Aerospace preferredMinimum of 5 years in QMS Development and audit experienceMust have ISO 9000 / IATF / QMS Lead / Internal Auditor CertificationTechnical knowledge of transformers (Type Tests, Test Equipment, ...) preferredStrong knowledge of regulatory (IEEE / CSA & ANSI Standards) and customer specificationsUnderstanding of root cause analysis (8D, 5‑Why, Ishikawa), SPC, process capability studies requiredTravel is required in the US and Canada to meet business needs (Satellite plants, Vendors, Customers)Lead / Internal Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA / CQE, and similar; industry‑specific certificationsLeadership ability to act as a facilitator and trainer in on‑the‑floor environmentA high level of experience with LEAN concepts considered an assetBenefits
