Position Description:
The Manager, Quality Management System is responsible for ensuring QMS requirements across programs, functions and departments are in compliance. The role will also establish performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, conduct, and plan internal QMS audits for compliance to the AS0 series of standards in support of the company's Quality Management System.
- Drive Route Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) from customers.
- Plan and manage internal, supplier and third-party audits of quality systems, including shop floor audits.
- Manage all Receiving Inspection Activities to ensure part conformity.
- Ownership of the DSQR process.
- Perform all formal responsibilities including audit planning, represent the site leadership, conducting opening & closing meetings and daily debriefs with management.
- Complete an audit report and issuing, review and approve formal corrective actions.
- Serve as liaison and interface to the External Auditors during site audits.
- Facilitate audit schedules, logistics, and closure of corrective actions.
- Serve as liaison and interface during site certification and recertification audits.
- Ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed according to the schedule.
- Manage and administer the Quality Management System in accordance with the Quality Manual, ISO 1;0 and AS0 and other applicable standards and customer requirement
- Provide guidance to all quality assurance functions, including the ongoing development of effective quality systems, establishing and implementing audit protocols, and ensuring compliance with ISO and API standards
- Mentor, train and educate peers and employees with respect to the requirements of company quality systems
- Compile information for, and lead Management Review Meetings
- Provide assessment of the health of the QMS and recommendations for improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Certificate or degree in mechanical, manufacturing or process engineering.
- Certified ISO0/AS0 auditor.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum + years’ experience working in Quality Assurance in Manufacturing at the management level
- Working experience in related field of Engineering
- Working knowledge of AS0 and related aerospace and/or nuclear quality standards
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Effective communication and report writing skills
- Leadership in problem solving
- Good negotiation skills with8 customer-oriented attitude
- Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details
- Ability to interact with customer on customer’s visit, document submission, and investigate problems
- Good leadership capabilities to lead projects to successful completion
- Basic knowledge of applicable software to infer statistical data
- Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management
