Position Summary

The Junior Finance Analyst will support the financial modelling, project evaluation, and transaction execution activities within GSl's Strategic Capital group. This full-time, permanent role is hybrid, with occasional travel to GSl's Canadian and U.S. offices, and reports directly to the Director of Strategic Capital. The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis, modelling, and coordination of financing, refinancing, and acquisition projects across GSl's renewable energy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for projects under development, acquisition, or refinancing, including sensitivity analysis.
• Perform economic and financial evaluations of acquisition and investment opportunities, including adaptation of third-party financial models.
• Assist in due diligence processes related to financing transactions or project acquisitions, coordinating with technical, development, and legal teams.
• Support the structuring and execution of financing and refinancing transactions, including assistance with lender negotiations and document review.
• Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with business and financial objectives.
• Support loan administration activities for project financing agreements, including updates to existing financial models.
• Research and summarize federal and state renewable energy incentive programs to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for senior management, external stakeholders, and investment committees.
• Maintain data rooms, reports, and documentation to support transaction management and audit readiness.
• Collaborate across departments to support business operations and ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
• Perform other financial and administrative duties as required to support the finance and business development teams.
