Overview
Physician Assistant - OB-GYN in Bellingham, Washington. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality women\'s health care across the lifespan in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The PA will work closely with OB-GYN physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive outpatient services and potential inpatient support.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive women\'s health care, including gynecologic and obstetric services, under physician collaboration
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and develop treatment plans
- Manage routine gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and contraceptive counseling
- Assist in minor procedures and support surgical care as appropriate
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and wellness
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based clinical guidelines
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent or eligible Washington State Physician Assistant licenseNCCPA certificationDEA registration (or ability to obtain)BLS certificationPreferred
Prior experience in OB-GYN or women\'s health (new graduates with strong interest encouraged to apply)Experience working in a team-based, integrated healthcare systemSkills & Attributes
