Who are we looking for?

Due to continuing growth in our Rail / Transit practice , we are seeking a Rail & Transit Project Manager for any of our GTA office. This position will be integral in the development and growth of GHD's Transit / Rail practice.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :

  • Deliver rail / transit projects including light rail (LRT), bus rapid transit (BRT), commuter rail or other project types
  • Delivering GHD’s projects to budget, schedule and quality standards; provides overall supervision and project management leadership during the design build full cycle phase.
  • Being proactive and responsive to Clients requests, to go above and beyond in delivering client excellence.
  • Monitors project schedules, coordinates and maintains contact with sub-consultants, Municipalities, Utility companies, Railway Owners and Operators and Clients, and assists with contract administration as assigned.
  • Prepare monthly status reports on active projects to be reviewed with the Project Director, and advise on any corrective action plans if not performing in accordance with Key Performance Metrics.
  • Assist in new work proposals with bid team and developing budget estimates and schedule to successfully win work.

What you bring to the team :

  • Project Management experience on LRT or BRT projects within Canada
  • Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience coordinating multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Experience monitoring project budget and schedule of deliverables in a fast-paced project.
  • Experience using software's to control budget and provide schedule updates.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario or in process, PMP designation is also an asset.
