Data Centre Lead

Overview:Our client is seeking a Data Centre Lead for a 6-month contract to oversee key infrastructure build and risk assessment activities at their Montreal, QC location. This role requires hands-on experience in physical data centre environments and a strong understanding of both IT and facility systems.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead risk assessments for data centre infrastructure, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and environmental conditions.
• Evaluate redundancy and diversified paths for all critical systems.
• Oversee end-to-end data centre builds, including:
• Power and cooling system installation
• Structural cabling and equipment racking/stacking
• Security implementation
• Design documentation and physical layout
• Work on-site to coordinate cabling, patching, and physical setup of IT and non-IT systems.

Must Have Skills:

• Proven experience in Data Centre Facility Risk Assessment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, cooling infrastructure, and physical security in a DC environment
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling, racking, stacking, and patching
• Ability to lead and document data centre builds from design to implementation
