Our Ascent property in the Upper Mission requires a strong leader to build a vibrant community where people love where they live by providing exceptional customer service to our valued Community Members.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This role involves the organization and coordination of the strata council, which includes calling and preparing for meetings, the procurement of qualified services, resolving strata-related concerns, and ensuring duties under the strata property act are performed. Additionally, the Community Coordinator will provide caretaking and customer service for the strata. This includes, but is not limited to, keeping the community looking great by doing light cleaning duties in the common areas, interacting with homeowners around the property and assisting with trade access to the building. There is also basic office work, such as scanning, emailing, filing, working on Property / Strata Management software and general administrative tasks. This multifaceted role will have a function of maintaining common areas, while also providing direction and leadership as a strata manager.
You will be working closely with and aroundHighstreet Homeowners, so professional appearanceis necessary at all times. Some typical tasks include :
Maintain Highstreets standard of appearance, upkeep, cleaning and maintenance within your communityAssist the Strata Manager and Strata Council in maintaining the look and feel of the community and supporting the enforcing the community promises (bylaws).Collecting quotes and coordinating trades on site; holding them accountable and ensuring work is completed on timeHelping resolve common area maintenance requests in a timely mannerFilling out reportsand handing out notices as requiredLight shoveling around property entrancewaysOrganizing folders, files, emails, keys, paperwork, and promotional materialsWorking with MS Office, Property Management softwareand other computer programsSupport event organization and Highstreet Homeowner engagementBuilding relationships with homeownersPostingupdatesto the community Facebook groupBeing on call during weekends and evenings on a rotational basisAbility to do light repair work like patching and paint is not required but is an assetCompleting basic filter changes on various HVAC systems in the property (training will be available)Daily site walks around the community to ensure community cleanliness and report / repair damageReporting of any issues to the strata council and the strata management companyStandard schedule would be 3 days per weekTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE
