Your day at Ferring

  • Builds strategic relationships with key professionals at a regional level, based on deep understanding of medical, scientific and pharmacoeconomic aspects related to our products and therapeutic areas.
  • Increases awareness of Ferring and its marketed products enabling HCPs to make informed therapeutic decisions via one-on-one scientific exchange.
  • Engage healthcare providers pro- and reactively, via various innovative engagements, tactics and formats to provide dissemination of, clarification about, and education on, applicable scientific data, meeting abstracts, and professional literature to enhance product and therapeutic area awareness in alignment and compliance with local regulations.
  • Key External Expert (KEE) and influencer identification and intelligence : HCP profiling and segmentation.
  • Development and execution of HCP territory engagement plan, working to target metrics.
  • Contributes to internal understanding of specific HCP and KEE interests, expertise and impact in the medical community at large.
  • Scientific data generation and enhanced understanding of Therapeutic Area (TA).
  • Works with investigators to facilitate process for clinical studies (both Ferring sponsored and investigator-initiated). Acts as a point of contact for investigators, facilitates the interface with investigators and appropriate Ferring personnel responsible for approval, and communication, of study progress and completion.
  • Maintains a current, deep therapeutic knowledge of the Ferring products, therapeutic area and market landscape. Attends scientific congresses to develop and maintain a high level of scientific and technical expertise in the therapeutic area. Develops and disseminates, in a timely manner, scientific congress reports for internal and as appropriate, external use.
  • Reviews and evaluates scientific publications and develops, in collaboration with cross-functional partners key information summaries and / or assets for internal and external use.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Regional Advisory Board meetings including presentation development and leading interactive discussions.
  • Supports Commercial functions through the development and delivery of training and education activities, as required. This will be achieved through providing distilled summaries of complex topics that can be adapted into executable tactics with a clear line of sight on the business. Executes the medical strategy built in alignment with cross functional team.
  • Intake and reporting of complaints and adverse reaction reports (ADRs) to the appropriate Ferring Canada team, as per the current reporting procedures.
  • Completes necessary documentation / reports to time requirements (eg, contract execution prior to OLAs, CRM reports to ensure insight generation and knowledge preservation, call reports, expenses, etc) and in alignment with corporate SOPs and policies.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Graduate level degree eg, MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD.
  • Academic background or experience in the therapeutic area (ie, urology or oncology) or Clinical research an asset.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical, or related experience, with minimum 2 years experience as an MSL. High degree of ethical behaviour and willingness to reinforce in others.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Fluent in English – written and verbal.
  • Fluent in French – written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel to meetings including customer meetings and educational congresses, and may include overnight trips. Some international travel may be required. Approximately 40% travel anticipated.
