Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong NWMO presence on digital channels like the NWMO website and related website content. The Associate will be responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and measuring digital strategies, guidelines, procedures / protocols and editorial plans for the website content. Strategies are sometimes based on confidential information.
• Maintain and grow the NWMOs website presence and audience, managing on-line relationships and mitigating issues and misinformation in the online domain. Respond appropriately to internal requests from the organization for updating website content. Provide support, diagnostics, enhancements, and repairs, as required.
• Conduct studies to assist users in defining and documenting functional requirements, data, security and operational constraints requirements related to Sitecore
• Provide consultative services and specialized expertise in Sitecore. Assist and provide guidance to users and line management in the availability and use of the website platform.
• Align with other Communications Team members (e.g. Manager, Pubic and Media Relations, Regional Communications Manager, Creative Team etc.) to ensure alignment with strategies and messages;
• Provide information for developing and implementing the production of digital communications materials for the website components and specifications and the measurement of digital strategies and support (as needed) the implementation of other communication plans and analysis.
• Project manage the updates of communication materials and have a deep understanding of the processes for proofing, translation and internal PDIA process. The materials :
• Are consistent with and help achieve NWMO communications strategies;
• Meet NWMO visual identity requirements;
• Communicate consistent key messages;
• Are appropriately adapted to multiple platforms where required;
• Incorporate current communications best practice; and
• Are appropriate given specialized needs of each target audience.
• Have a knowledge of corporate communication standards and policies, including visual identity, style guide, governance procedures, web story checks lists, etc. are applied consistently.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, management, and measurement of NWMO communications strategies on the website.
• Monitor and use analytics, as required, to evaluate strategies and to measure impact and plan for future strategies. Produce reports as required and make recommendations for continuous development and improvement.
• Carry out design, development, and implementation activities for systems, applications, or databases. Construct system models or data models at the conceptual level, defining functional components, processes, data entities, and relationships with Sitecore or other systems / applications or databases. Review models with users and the information technology departments.
• Keep up with digital communications trends, new technology and emerging best practices in digital communications and develop strategies to appropriately adapt our activities to drive progress toward the NWMO’s goals.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Co-ordinate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure each project is produced on time, on budget, and in accordance with NWMO brand standards, style guide, governance procedures and communication strategies. Ensure workback schedules are developed and resources are coordinated and scheduled well in advance to avoid bottlenecks, delays or unnecessary costs.
