The Finishing Technician is responsible for performing all areas of finishing including grading, strapping and forklift operations. The technician maintains the prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Additional duties include troubleshooting machine performance, making adjustments, and calling for additional resources as required.
Responsibilities
- Model company core values
- Follow health & safety policies and programs
- Prepare pallets / carts for finished products
- Bundle and stack finished product according to specifications
- Check quality of final product
- Wrap, strap and label units and put into storage with lift truck
- Ensure SKU machines are set up correctly
- Make dunnage for pallets / carts and strapping of finished units
- Maintain lift truck in proper working condition
- Assist operators in maintenance and cleanup
- Keep work area clean
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to work alone, self‑motivated but also must be a team player
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use a measuring tape
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to present ideas in business‑friendly and user‑friendly language
