Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Avionic Technician to join our maintenance operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing harnesses on aircraft, testing the functionality of electrical systems, and ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety and efficiency. This role involves working both on aircraft and in the electrical shop, focusing on repairing, fabricating, and installing harnesses, as well as performing service checks, ground testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install harnesses on aircraft and test the functionality of electrical systems.
• Work between aircraft and the electrical shop to repair and fabricate harnesses.
• Perform systematics, fabrications, and installations of harnesses.
• Conduct service checks, ground testing, and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in avionic installation on aircraft.
• 2 years of experience in avionic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical plans and schematics.
• Ownership of basic avionic tools.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean hangar space with multiple aircraft, experiencing a slight chill when the hangar doors are open. The environment is multicultural and unionized, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The team consists of 80 production staff, including 10 contractors. The dress code includes safety boots, black or navy cargo pants, a t-shirt, and safety glasses. You will primarily work the day shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional shifts from 2:30 PM to 11 PM as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of MISSISSAUGA, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
