Senior Hydrogeologist Opportunity

Our client, a leader in water resources and environmental consulting, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Hydrogeologist to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of experienced professionals.

The organization’s hydrogeology work spans diverse environments, including coastal, mountainous, and urban areas, with a focus on urban hydrogeology, aquifer assessments, wastewater dispersal studies, and groundwater supply development. Their clients include municipalities, First Nations, private developers, and transportation authorities, offering a dynamic and rewarding portfolio of work.

This position is ideal for a senior-level technical professional with a blend of expertise in hydrogeology and a strong interest in the business aspects of consulting. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, collaborative, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage hydrogeology projects across varied environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee fieldwork, including well drilling supervision, well design and installation, and groundwater testing and maintenance activities.
  • Utilize hydrogeology data management tools and analysis software to provide expert insights.
  • Engage with clients from both public and private sectors to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications :

  • A degree in engineering or geosciences with coursework in hydrogeology
  • Professional designation or eligibility as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo), Engineer (P.Eng.), or Licensee Engineer (P.L.Eng.).
  • At least 8 years of experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with hydrogeology issues and regulations, particularly in British Columbia, is an asset.
  • Strong technical and field expertise in groundwater assessment techniques.
  • Project management experience is highly valued.
