Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading distributor of various racking and storage solutions looking to expand their operations across the Toronto area.
With an established base across Canada and parts of North America, this is a great opportunity for an experienced racking & storage professional seeking a new role.
Responsibilities
- Business development across the Toronto area focusing on various project sizes generally from $250k-$4.5m
- Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking and other equipment
- Work with internal designers & project managers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sales of racking and storage solutions
- Take ownership of each individual project from start to finish
- Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth
Requirements
The company requires an individual with previous racking experience in a sales capacity. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will ideally have experience of conducting site surveys and providing detailed quotations.
Knowledge of CAD would be advantageous but not essential. Ultimately, our client is looking for an individual who has a thirst for new business given the role is heavily incentivized in terms of commission opportunity.
In terms of location, you will preferably live around the Toronto area or within a commutable distance.
Benefits
- Competitive salary dependent on experience (Draw of up to $125,000 for the first year)
- Excellent uncapped commission potential ($200k-$300k genuinely achievable)

They’re a provider of a well-known European racking brand and have won projects as far as the US & Mexico with a smaller team operating south of the Canadian border.
