About the Role
IMAX is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the growing Corporate Accounting team. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the ongoing preparation and analysis around IMAX’s month end and quarter end financials to help ensure accurate financials and a timely close. We’re looking for someone who can be constantly focused on process improvements and comfortable working autonomously in their role.
What You'll Do :
- Monthly analysis and reconciliation of Accrued Accounts Receivable and Deferred Revenue accounts
- Providing analysis and accurate information necessary in the preparation of financial statement notes and supporting schedules for accounts receivable, prepaid expenses and operational commitments.
- Creation of various reports and schedules for month end reporting and reconciliation, including variance analysis
- Support company’s Treasury operations including bank transactions, domestic and global fund transfers, foreign exchange, intercompany loans
- Analysis of company’s SG&A expenses and necessary adjustments
- Assistance with special projects and other areas in the Finance group as required
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
What You'll Need :
2+ years’ experience in a Financial Analyst role, preferably in a large / multinational companyBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of SAP software platforms such as BPC and BWProficiency in accounting and the ability to offer assistance on accounting functionsNice to Have :
