Our client in Peel Region is actively looking for a Logistics, Business Development Specialist to join their team.

Title : Logistics, Business Development Specialist

Location : Peel Region , ON

Job Type : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $, / yr + Commissions

Job Description :

  • Plan and conduct market research to identify new opportunities and new territories
  • Strategize to improve quality, efficiency, and sell price of existing services
  • Strategize to maintain and / or improve company profit margin
  • Strategize to increase sales volume from existing customers by adding more lanes, products, or services
  • Identify corporate deficiencies and strategize to remove them
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plan in the assigned territory
  • Self-generate new business by lead generation, cold calling in person, or by preparing letters, by emails, by phone in the assigned territory.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentation to prospective clients
  • Provide quotations / bids and follow up as appropriate for each contact
  • Successfully close the deals
  • Create SOP's for each new customer and actively support and coordinate the onboarding process between operations and customers
  • Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients
  • Monitor results, and prepare status reports regarding sales, and accounts in the pipeline on a monthly basis

Required skill set :

  • University or College degree with business / financial knowledge (preferred)
  • Good understanding of profit margin and markup on cost
  • Good grasp of trends in logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge of sales and marketing tools
  • Experienced self starter. At least -year experience in PL sales.
  • At least - year experience in Logistics Sales
  • Successful track record of closing new business
  • Customer centric approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good command with MS Office Suite
