Summer Student Research Research

The role of the Research Student is to provide support at various levels of independence to the Research Coordinator and investigators. This position requires the ability to adhere to research protocol and work with the investigator and other team members to carry out various aspects of conducting research.

The Research Student reports to the Manager Research.

Accountabilities :

• Conduct chart reviews
• Assist in screening procedures
• Perform data collection and date entry into online databases
• Electronic / paper filing and retrieval responsibilities
• Organizing storing and tracking clinical trial material
• Assist in preparation of laboratory requisitions
• Scanning and filing source documents
• Conduct Literature searches on relevant topics
• Assist with Research Ethics Board submissions
• Liaise with research collaborators research team members Research Ethics Board staff
• Operate within an established research protocol and under specific instructions as to method and processes relevant to the research study
• Create / modify source documents consents information letters and other study related documents
• Assist in other administrative and job-related duties as assigned by the researcher or research manager
