Job description

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking a Program Manager to become a vital part of our dynamic team. The Program Manager will join a committed professional team in managing support programs for people living with cancer, and in providing case management for economically vulnerable patients.

This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. This position is primarily located at 105 Wellness Way in Toronto, and the successful candidate may choose to work 2 days at home most weeks.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a non-profit setting, preferably related to health
  • Understanding of the impact of cancer on individuals and families
  • High degree of organization, with very good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of workplace issues, accommodation, and graduated return would be an asset

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Management of a portfolio of cancer support programs including :
  • Recruitment and scheduling of, succession planning for, and mentorship of, professional program leadership
  • Monitoring of program performance; addressing concerns as they arise
  • Strategic planning for growth and identification of gaps in programming
  • Sew program development
  • Program leadership where relevant
  • Related administration
  • Case Management in the Wellspring Money Matters program (training provided)
  • Participation as an integral part of the Mission Delivery staff team
