Job Summary
The Constable is responsible for being the customer contact for all policing and security needs. The position requires to respond to emergency calls while sometimes working irregular schedules including days, nights, weekends and holidays to protect a 24 / 7 operation.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop working partnerships with municipal, provincial and federal officials, major industries and local businesses that affect CN
- Identify high-risk locations and develop subsequent action plans to secure and prevent losses
- Perform the investigation and prosecution of all criminal incidents and participate actively in the enforcement and promotion of federal and provincial laws dealing with railway safety
- Participate in regular public speaking
- Manage targeted traffic and trespass enforcement
- Conduct operation lifesaver presentations

The incumbent receives an on-the-job training with a Coach Officer. Successful candidates that do not hold a certificate from an accredited police college will be required to successfully complete the 3-month training program at the Ontario Police College.
