Welder
At Harbinger we are constantly searching for individuals who are deeply passionate about the Construction and Manufacturing industry.
We are currently recruiting for Welder. The position of Welder requires the performance of various tasks for welding projects including cleaning, preparing worksites, and all welding applications (GMAW / MIG, GTAW / TIG, SMAW, FCAW).
The candidate must be capable of operating a variety of equipment and tools, which may include; welders , cranes, mobile elevating work platforms (scissor lifts, booms), torches, grinders, wire snips and measuring equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
- Ensure compliance with Automatic Welding health and safety training and reporting requirements.
- Communicate when welding supplies need to be replenished.
- Clean and perform preparation of worksite.
- Operate welding equipment and tools associated with the role.
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and / or hazardous environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of industry experience
- Applicable licenses to operate forklifts and other related machinery
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
- A solid understanding of all welding techniques
- Effectiveness in the areas of welding safety and productivity
- Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation
- CWB Welding certification are considered assets
