Job Details: Aurora Academic Charter Primary School is looking for a full-time Grade 4 teacher to deliver a robust academic program. The position is to cover a maternity leave until June 24 2026. Teaching experience with younger elementary grades is a requirement. Excellent English language skills and a high comfort level in Google apps for schools are also required.

Required General Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education Degree specializing in Elementary Education
• Knowledge of a student-centered highly structured direct instruction model
• The ability to use technology (especially PowerSchool ViewSonic Board and the Google apps and platform) as tools to enhance learning
• Must be living in the Edmonton area in order to be contacted and interviewed
• A clear Alberta Teacher Registry

• Short cover letter

• Most recent evaluation (principal mentor teacher in the AFX supervisor etc.)
• Valid Alberta Interim or Professional Certificate
• Current Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (current within the past 6 months) from a Canadian police service. You will not be contacted for an interview unless you have one that is current or in the process of getting one.
