This student position is with our Digital, Brand and Content Team. In this role, the student will learn skills and best practices in internal and external communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, graphic design and writing, reputation management and brand by working with our team of professionals to support key projects.

What you’ll do

Support the Communications team with internal and external communications initiatives, including communications planning, content development and measurement.

Writing for a variety of audiences and communications channels, researching issues and topics.

Working with vendors (e.g. graphic design agency) to produce materials.

Collaborating with clients and teams within the company.

Supporting digital projects on Cenovus’s web, email and digital display platforms.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications :

Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in May 2025

The successful candidate will need the ability to be agile to competing priorities, communicate with impact, foster collaboration and enhance their technical expertise by doing the work and learning.

Education

Must be enrolled in a Communications Undergraduate Program (majoring in public relations, journalism, or digital communications is preferred) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
