As such, we are proud to support a hybrid work approach, which includes work-from-home options.Standard Work Hours : Mon - Fri | 8 : 15 am - 4 : 30 pm | 36.25 hours per weekSalary Range : $23.48 - $27.26 per hourYOUR FOCUS Reporting to the Graduate Administrator, the Clerk PL4 (Graduate Administrator Assistant) manages clerical processes for Masters and PhD student accounts throughout the academic year. This position also reconciles the GRA / GAA payroll deductions with the bi-weekly payroll report in a time sensitive manner.Create and approve payment plans each term (approximately 180 / term) for all Masters and PhD students on both UNB campuses via email. This includes noting the accounts with plan details to ensure accounts is showing to be in good standing.Follow up on delinquent accounts via email and or phone call to ensure that all student payment plans remain up to date.Apply monthly interest to all accounts at the beginning of each month.Create and maintain the spreadsheet for all payment plans each term, and at the end of the term, add accounts to the overdue spreadsheet and begin sending statements for collection process where needed.Create and maintain master spreadsheet for all Masters and PhD students who have GRA and or GAA funding that pays their tuition on a bi-weekly basis through the payroll system. This includes reconciling this spreadsheet on a bi-weekly basis to the payroll report, identifying any error or omissions, and bringing to the attention of both the Graduate Administrator and the Payroll Administrator.Review students' reports along with the Graduate Administrator each term to determine which accounts need a late fee added, and when to remove IT Access.Prepare and submit Student Loan Program Information Forms for all loan applicants which is UNB's part of the application process for all graduate students.Work on NSLSC Online Portal to process confirmation of enrollments for Masters and PhD students who have existing loan debt and need to remain in interest free status.Analyze the students' accounts for processing student loan funds for Masters and PhD students, calculating and requesting tuition and fees from the loan that is being submitted.Respond to emails within the designated inbox for all Masters & PhD (graduate) students.Provide dedicated back up to the Graduate Administrator during absences due to vacations etc.Perform any other duties as assigned by the department.WHAT YOU BRING Post-secondary education in a recognized accounting program.3 years of related experience in a high volume, computerized accounting environment.An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.Additional Strengths Experience working with student loans is considered a definite asset.Experience working with accounts and fees in an academic environment is considered an asset.Strong customer service skills.Skilled use of Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.About University of New BrunswickThe University of New Brunswick employs more than 3,200 full- and part-time staff, including faculty, support staff and students.
