From initial design to project completion, we work on a wide range of initiatives including new line builds, solar and wind projects, and pole load analyses.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Survey Drafter and Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting the preparation of detailed survey deliverables and contributing to quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Geomatics team to prepare detailed survey drawings and updates using Civil 3D.
  • Process field survey returns to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Perform survey calculations for layout and design, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Interpret and analyze field data, sketches, base maps, and design drawings to create precise deliverables.
  • Provide quality assurance by reviewing field data and drawings for accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with Field Leads, Project Managers, and Professional Land Surveyors to ensure deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize drawing markups / packages.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Design or Drafting from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Civil 3D , focusing on land-based drafting projects.
  • Strong understanding of land surveying principles and field returns processing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in utilities-related survey drafting in North America is an asset.
