Job Summary

We are the Innovation + Architectural team of Acuity Brands Lighting, and we are inventing the future of light. We inspire and empower designers to create amazing experiences with light, while also committing to safe and healthy environments for our people.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Coordinate EH&S efforts across four facilities, regularly visiting each site to assess safety practices, identify risks, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
• Engage directly with Directors of Operations and facility teams to implement changes that elevate safety and environmental performance.
• Serve as the primary link between our facilities and the corporate EH&S team, translating strategy into action and ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
• Champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, helping teams move beyond compliance to proactive risk management and innovation.
• Help develop and deliver training, build awareness, and foster engagement at all levels, from production teams to leadership.
• Track performance, analyze trends, and help sites prepare for audits and inspections.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• 7 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing environments and a strong foundation in environmental, health, and safety practices.
• Fluent in French and English, able to connect with diverse teams across Quebec and Oceanside, California.
• Proven ability to thrive in cross‑functional settings, build trust, drive follow‑through, and keep teams aligned.
• Comfortable with data, systems, and reporting, turning insights into action.
• Deep care for people and a desire to create workplaces where safety is second nature and innovation is encouraged.
