40 FTE District position Salary : The starting annual salary for this part-time teaching position ranges from $25,342 to $44,720, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

5 (Southeast Kootenay).-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. -Must have a degree / formal training and / or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.

Hearing Resource Teacher - Grades K-12 (POSTING NUMBER T2425-125 - Round 1)0.40 FTE temporary contract, starting September 3, 2024 or upon completion of the posting process to June 27, 2025 or return of the incumbent.

Must have a Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch involving major study in deafness and hearing loss.

Must be eligible for certification as a Teacher of the Deaf by the Canadian Association of Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CAEDHH).

It would be considered an asset to have proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

This is a District position, and will support all of the communities within School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay). Please note that all work will be on site.
