Job Description
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in his/her respective location(s). This position formulates partnerships across the HR function (including COEs) to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition. The purpose of this position is to provide a high level of HR support to the frontline business organization.

Le Partenaire d’affaire en ressources humaines est chargé d’aligner les objectifs commerciaux avec les employés et la direction dans son ou ses établissements respectifs. Ce poste consiste à établir des partenariats au sein de la fonction des RH (y compris les centres d’excellence), afin d’offrir un service à valeur ajoutée à la direction et aux employés, qui reflète les objectifs commerciaux de l’organisation. Le Partenaire d’affaire en ressources humaines maintient un niveau efficace de connaissances commerciales sur la situation financière de l’unité commerciale, ses plans à moyen terme, sa culture et ses concurrents. L’objectif du poste est de fournir un soutien de haut niveau en matière de ressources humaines à l’organisation commerciale de première ligne.

Ce poste a une incidence sur les activités du Canada. Les employés des opérations représentent le plus grand nombre d’employés de l’organisation qui ont un effet direct sur les résultats opérationnels et financiers de l’entreprise. Par conséquent, ce rôle a une incidence directe et indirecte sur ces résultats.

Contributions professionnelles - vos tâches:
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe des RH et les dirigeants des entreprises locales pour soutenir la stratégie des RH. Contribuer à harmoniser les initiatives des RH, afin de répondre aux besoins opérationnels.
  • Déployer des programmes opérationnels, éducatifs, de conformité et de mise en valeur sur le terrain, conformément aux directives des différents centres d’excellence.
  • Gérer les activités quotidiennes des ressources humaines dans les domaines suivants : relations avec les employés, rémunération, relations de travail, avantages sociaux, dotation en personnel, formation et planification de la relève, afin de soutenir les objectifs opérationnels et commerciaux.
  • Consulter les employés et les gestionnaires, afin de traiter les causes profondes des problèmes et les résoudre par une approche systématique et analytique, comprenant des enquêtes.
  • Fournir des avis et des conseils à tous les niveaux de gestion sur les questions liées aux ressources humaines, afin d’assurer l’équité, la cohérence, l’efficacité et la conformité juridique et réglementaire.
  • Guider, perfectionner et encadrer le personnel. Fournir des conseils, du leadership et de l’encadrement, afin d’obtenir des résultats conformes aux objectifs commerciaux.
  • Gérer la sécurité et l’indemnisation des accidentés du travail.
  • Cerner les problèmes liés à la rémunération et proposer des solutions.
  • Veiller au respect des politiques de l’entreprise et des lois relatives à l’emploi.
  • Fournir un soutien en matière de RH dans des environnements syndiqués et non syndiqués.
  • Dans nos établissements syndiqués, participer aux réunions de règlement des griefs et aider à la résolution des conflits, à l’interprétation des contrats et à la négociation collective.
  • Analyser les données relatives à la planification des effectifs et prévoir les besoins en personnel.
  • Participer à des projets spéciaux en fonction des besoins.

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum.

The purpose of this position is to provide a high level of HR support to the frontline business organization.

This role has an impact on Canada Operations. The operation employees make up the largest number of employees in the organization which have a direct impact on the company’s operational and financial performance; therefore, this role has both a direct and an indirect impact on the company’s operational and financial performance.

Job Contributions:

What will you do?

  • Work closely with the HR team and local business leaders to support the HR Strategy. Help align the HR initiatives to support operational needs.
  • Deploy operational, educational, compliance, and developmental programs in the field as directed from various COEs.
  • Manage day-to-day HR activities in employee relations, compensation, labor relations, benefits, staffing, training, and succession planning to support operational goals and business objectives.
  • Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.
  • Provide advice and counsel to all levels of management on matters related to Human Resources to ensure fairness, consistency, efficacy, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor, develop, and coach staff. Provide guidance, leadership, and coaching to achieve results that are in alignment with business objectives.
  • Safety/WC management.
  • Identify any compensation issues and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and employment laws.
  • Provide HR support in both union and nonunion environments.
  • At our union locations, participate in grievance meetings, and assist with dispute resolution, contract interpretation, and collective bargaining.
  • Analyze workforce-planning data and forecast staffing needs.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

Ce poste exige le plus haut niveau de confidentialité et la capacité de travailler efficacement avec ses pairs. Cependant, la capacité de travailler de façon autonome avec un minimum de supervision est nécessaire. Ce poste ne comporte aucune responsabilité hiérarchique directe, mais sert à encadrer et à conseiller les autres postes au sein de l’entreprise.

Des déplacements sont à prévoir, tant au niveau local en voiture que sur de longues distances en avion. Étant donné qu’il s’agit d’un poste de soutien aux activités sur le terrain, la présence sur place est requise pendant la majeure partie de la semaine de travail. Le télétravail sera autorisé à titre occasionnel, à la discrétion du directeur des ressources humaines.

Position requires the highest level of confidentiality and the ability to work effectively with peers. However, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the operation.

Travel is required, both locally by car and long-distance by air. As this is a field-operations support role, on-site reporting is required for most of the workweek. Remote working will be allowed on an occasional basis, and at the discretion of the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications:

Formation:
  • Baccalauréat universitaire ou expérience équivalente en ressources humaines.
  • Certification HRPA souhaitée.
  • Deux (2) à quatre (4) ans d’expérience en ressources humaines, en affaires, en acquisition de talents ou dans un domaine connexe.

Compétences:
  • Solides compétences en leadership.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication verbale et écrite en anglais et en français.
  • Souci du détail.
  • Solides compétences en matière d’organisation et de hiérarchisation des priorités.

Education:
  • University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent HR Experience.
  • HRPA Certification Preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in human resources, business, talent acquisition, or a related field.

Skills:
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills in both English and French.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skill.
