Position Summary
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day‑to‑day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The manager ensures that the pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Pharmacy and OTC teams, participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates, and train associates on OBWs / SOPs and Walmart workflow.
- Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members, promoting Walmart’s brand among team members and customers.
- Collaborate closely with the Professional Services District Manager and Store Management team.
- Operate the pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets, including efficient associate scheduling, ongoing assessment, and periodic performance reviews.
- Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and corrective action plans based on audit findings.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy inventories following Walmart OBWs / SOPs, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain a professional image for the pharmacy area per Workstation Standardization and 6S audit requirements.
- Execute all programs assigned to the pharmacy by the Professional Services team.
- Build collaborative relationships with health‑care providers in the store (clinics, Vision Centre, etc.).
- Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours, supervising the OTC manager’s duties.
- Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals, ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe fulfillment per workflow models.
- Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products and patient privacy, following provincial regulations.
- Assist patients with eligible services such as medication reviews and injections.
Minimum Qualifications
Age 16 or older.Pharmacist license (secondary optional permit in Alberta : CA_APA – Additional Prescribing Authorization).Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.20 / hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
