Schedule
Shift is Monday to Friday 3 : 00 pm to 11 : 00 pm.
Training will start on the Day Shift.
Responsibilities
- Repair pumps, motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and monitor equipment function
- Interact with equipment operators to determine needs
- Perform preventative maintenance and plant inspections
- Fabricate metal components as needed
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
- Diagnose standard mechanical equipment problems
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Inspect used parts to determine dimensional changes using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Utilize welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair, and fabricate processing equipment
- Perform the preventative maintenance program established by the company
- Document and report all maintenance work performed and advise of future requirements in a timely manner
- Test and adjust equipment to meet performance specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist in shop operations in a responsive, efficient and safe manner
- Operate company equipment safely and responsibly
- Abide by OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
- Be willing and available to participate in on-call rotation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalentMinimum three (3) years of related experience; an assetAppropriate trade training and / or experienceAny relevant certification and / or trainingCore Competencies
