We are currently seeking an In-house Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. They will provide legal advice, draft and negotiate agreements, support litigation management and manage licensing and compliance across all of NORR's offices globally. A general understanding of consulting responsibilities, construction law and insurance would be considered an asset for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all prime contracts with our clients and subconsultant agreements are fair and are reviewed, edited, and signed by all parties in a timely manner
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates legal agreements to minimize NORR's contractual risk
- Assists in managing professional compliance and licensing obligations for NORR
- Participates in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and presenting to internal stakeholders regarding various legal and business issues.
- Supports the Director in managing the company's litigation
- Reviews RFPs and proposals to ensure compliance with terms, conditions and company policies
- Manage internal legal software

Must have 3-5 years' experience in private practice or in-house counselAdmitted member in good standing with a provincial law society or state bar
