Founded in 1972 by 3 engineers specialized in electrical failures and fire, our company now employs 135 workers spread across 10 offices throughout Canada.

In over 50 years of existence, CEP Forensic has successfully determined the most probable cause of a loss or a failure in over 120 000 cases.

Typically, insurance companies, or attorneys in case of litigation, assigns our experts to produce reports in a wide range of fields : Fire Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Biomechanical, Structural and Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Collision Reconstruction, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as Environmental Science.

The quest!

As a Collision Reconstruction Forensic Expert, you'll be solving some of the most peculiar and perplexing cases that come our way.

No mystery is too small or too big for you to handle.

  • Visit sites, take pictures, videos, samples, readings, and other helpful information from the scene;Conduct interviews with witnesses and other stakeholders using your amazing social skills;
  • Gather and analyze data and evidence and coming up with compelling reports that are easy to understand for a non-technical audience;

Collaborate with other investigators to solve multi-disciplinary cases;Write convincing and accessible reports to a reader who is not an expert in the field.

  • These reports detail all the stages of the investigation which led you to a logical and unequivocal conclusion;Take full advantage of all our work procedures and guidelines under our ISO certified operational framework;
  • Promote the company through your friendly and professional attitude during your interactions with customers and strengthen your relationships with them;

What’s in your bag?

  • A University degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or an appropriate combination of education and experience;Registered EIT;
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in, automotive engineering, collision analysis and reconstruction;A keen eye for detail, a sharp wit, and a sense of humor that can brighten up people around you;
  • Hands-on knowledge of applied general and industrial mechanics, typical failure mechanisms and types of testing;The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time;A deep understanding of the power of laughter and its ability to make even the toughest of cases seem less daunting;

The ability to manage client relationships through the life of a file.
