Senior Inbound Travel Consultant - Ad hoc Group Proposals

We are seeking an experienced Senior Inbound Travel Consultant specialising in ad hoc group proposals across a variety of international markets. In this role, you will lead on conceptualising, costing, and presenting compelling group itineraries that showcase the best South and Southern Africa has to offer.

You will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers to ensure every proposal is innovative, accurate, and delivered with exceptional attention to detail. This is a senior, customer-facing role suited to someone who takes pride in quality, creativity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of tailor-made proposals for inbound ad hoc groups
• Design itineraries that balance creativity, feasibility, and budget requirements
• Source and negotiate services with suppliers to secure competitive and high-quality offerings
• Prepare detailed costings, quotations, and professional proposal documents
• Collaborate with the Group Operations team to ensure seamless handover on confirmation
• Maintain strong product knowledge and stay up to date with destination trends, new experiences, and supplier offerings
• Respond efficiently to deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through superior service and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in inbound travel, specifically group travel proposals/quotations
• Strong destination knowledge of South and Southern Africa
• Proven ability to design creative, tailor-made group itineraries
• Excellent costings skills and high attention to detail
• Strong supplier relationships and negotiation ability
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under tight timelines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experienced with Reservations systems
