Job description

Our client is a globally well-known food and beverage manufacturing located in Delta, BC that earns billions in revenue each year. On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Red Seal Millwright with a 4th class power engineer ticket. This is a full-time position with great perks!

This individual will also inspect equipment for proper functioning, performs preventative maintenance duties and diagnose equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. The shift time is 10 pm to 6 am graveyard shifts (Monday to Friday), scheduling is based on seniority. You may be on the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 10 PM.

You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. There are 18 people within the maintenance team and there are about 300 employees working at this location.

Your tasks as a Millwright

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment
  • Repair building system
  • Changeover production line equipment
  • Upgrade areas with new equipment / technology, working with outside contractors
  • Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
  • Follow the direction of Maintenance Leadhand, Supervisors and Department Managers
  • Able to work in a multi-department team environment
  • Keep work area orderly and clean
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
  • Bottle and Can Line maintenance
  • Machine control systems, safety control system and troubleshooting them
  • Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required

    • Qualifications :

  • Red Seal Millwright ideally within food / packaging
  • 4th Class Power Engineer ticket or planning to get one in the next 3-5 months.
  • Ability to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manuals
  • Must be able to lift / carry 50-85 lbs. Must be able to push / pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
  • Must be able to work shifts and overtime as required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
