Field Service Technician

Job Overview

The service technician services and repairs a variety of office equipment at customer locations, usually within a specific geographic area. May be viewed as specialist on certain products.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in the servicing and repair of a core set of complex multi-functional devices (Photocopiers, Printers) based on regional needs.
• Manages territory, inventory and customer relationships.
• Achieves expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experience.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Effectively executes all required territory management and call handling procedures.
• Maintains and manages own parts inventory with a degree of accuracy.
• Maintains productive professional relationships with all customers and company personnel.
• Performs a full range of service and repair service procedures including diagnostics, installation, Removal and retrofits on a core set of multi-functional devices.
• Performs troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment components as necessary on B&W, color And multifunctional devices.
• Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education in the area of technical specialization.
• 2-3 years of related experience with repairing and maintaining different ranges of office products.
• Knowledge of digital copiers and printers
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take the initiative to improve the customer Experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, fly to remote destinations.
• Demonstrates technical trouble shooting abilities.
• Shift work, overtime, stand-by and/or on-call may be required.
• Physical effort is required to move objects up to 400 pounds and be able to lift and carry objects that weighs up to 50 pounds.
• PC application proficiency and/or networking fundamentals.
• Proficient technical skills and aptitude, including electro-mechanical.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
