Job Title : Canada Operations - Specialist (Entry Level)

Location : 100 Yonge St Suite 1102, Toronto, ON M5C 2W1

Job Type : Full-time Contract (Nov 2024 - Jun 2025)

Job Summary :

The Operations Specialist will handle daily operational tasks within the banking operations department. This entry-level role provides valuable exposure to transaction processing, customer service, and compliance in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, a desire to learn, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process customer payments, cheques, SWIFT payments, and ensure accurate, timely transactions.
  • Perform data entry and documentation, maintaining transaction records.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ISO20022 implementations.
  • Coordinate with team members for daily transactions and ISO projects.
  • Assist in daily reporting for the Operations department.
  • Document banking procedures for the ISO project.
  • Create and format interactive PDF forms, setting necessary field properties.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of banking operations; proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and task management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Internship or part-time experience in banking or financial services.
  • Basic understanding of banking systems and applications is advantageous.
  • Additional Notes :

    Personality is key for this role—they should have excellent communication skills, high energy, and a strong eagerness to learn.
