Dietary Aide – Temporary Part Time (4pm-8:30pm) (end date 10/01/2026) – Vacancy

Location: Toronto, Main Street Terrace.

Hourly rate: $23.46.

Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in enriching the lives of residents by providing nutritious and delicious meals prepared and served with love.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling.
• Assisting cooks in basic food preparation.
• Executing proper food service in accordance with internal and external guidelines and protocols.
• Serving meals according to Resident diet orders.
• Washing, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen and dining room.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
• Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others.
• Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
• A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of hire date.
• Completion of a 2‑Step TB skin test within the last 12 months.
