As an AMO Technician, you will ensure safe and reliable Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul (AMO) service is delivered to the global AMO organization, in a cost effective and efficient manner, without harm to people or the environment. This role focuses specifically on Completions & Wellbore Intervention (CWI) within the Oilfield Services portfolio of Baker Hughes.

As an AMO Technician (Downhole Equipment Mechanic), you will be responsible for :

  • Participating in HSE programs as assigned and keeping work areas of the facility in a safe, clean, and organized manner
  • Reviewing all associated Risk Assessments and Work Procedures prior to starting work and exercising “Stop Work” at any time of safety and / or procedures are not clear.
  • Adhering to the Qualified to Perform (QTP) program always as well as all other Quality requirements.
  • Performing mechanical assembly, maintenance, and overhaul on downhole equipment.
  • Disassembling, assembling, testing, and performing visual inspection on mechanical systems and assemblies.
  • Ensuring all work orders are completed with documentation in associated systems as part of quality control and assurance programs.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will :

  • Have at least high school diploma. Post-secondary technical education considered an asset.
  • Have 3+ years maintenance related experience in mechanical systems (oilfield experience preferred).
  • Be able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills to find solutions to difficult technical problems.
  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting maintenance documents, drawings, parts lists and following formal procedures.
  • Be capable in a physically demanding time sensitive work environment.
  • Need to amplify your team’s effectiveness through your individual contributions.
  • In this role, we can offer the following working schedule :

    Mon-Friday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm with overtime and weekends (as required).
