Responsibilities
- Ability to readand interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and layout ofwork
- Ability to readand understand the imperial system of measurement
- Determine the appropriate machine settings to maintain critical dimensions
- Check finished componentsusing Straightedge, Combination square, etc.
- Maintain equipmentin a condition that does not compromise safety
- Operate 175 tonCNC Power press brake
- Follow QC programs and use measuring equipment
- Good understanding of manufacturing facility atmosphere
- Positive attitude while speaking with manager / foreman andco-workers
- Ability to work as a team with co-workers to problem solve
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years ofBrake & Shear Experience
- Second or thirdyear apprentice sheet metal worker preferred
- Shop experience an asset
- Knowledge of proper bending procedures
- Experience programming CNC press brake considered an asset
- Experience with Cincinnati Laser Table an asset
- Experience using ¼ plate Shear equipment and procedures
- Ability topractice safe work practices and properly use PPE
- High attention todetail required, with the ability to look ahead in the work process
- Patience andadaptability to multi-tasking
