Medical Office Assistant

Staffmax is working with a respected healthcare client to hire a compassionate, organized Medical Office Assistant for a 4-month contract.

As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the front office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Contract length : 4 Months

Location : Edmonton, AB

Key Responsibilities :

Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner

Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments using EMR systems

Update and maintain accurate patient records and files

Process payments, issue receipts, and handle basic billing tasks

Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming

Collaborate with medical staff to support smooth patient flow and care coordination

Qualifications :

Previous experience working in a medical clinic or healthcare setting

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Accuro, OSCAR, or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Calm and efficient under pressure, with strong multitasking ability
