What is the opportunity?

Data Services is responsible for ensuring Capital Markets data is complete, accurate, and fit for purpose to meet business and regulatory needs. As an Associate / Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for data quality insights. You will act as a key contributor to the execution of critical components of our first-line data strategy and will take ownership of initiatives that span cross‑functional teams.

What will you do?

• Conduct data profiling activities to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within datasets, ultimately determining the root cause of data quality findings. Proficiency in Excel and a fundamental understanding of SQL are essential.
• Analyze data quality findings and translate them into strategic insights and recommendations that drive data remediation, informed decision‑making, risk mitigation strategies, cross‑functional data prioritization, and operational enhancements across Capital Markets that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Engage key stakeholders to validate root causes and collaborate to design appropriate and scalable solutions that align with RBC’s data strategy and long‑term objectives and meet both business and regulatory requirements. Building trusted relationships with stakeholders is critical, achieved by clearly communicating findings, actionable recommendations, and strategic insights.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of designed solutions.
• Facilitate data observation forums with senior leaders to share progress updates, gather their insights on solution designs, and secure approval for observation closures. The candidate must be capable of delivering professional, well‑structured presentations that effectively communicate complex scenarios and solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
